Today marks a week of celebration at RCPI as we welcomed 258 new Members at Conferring ceremonies in our historic No 6 Kildare Street. The event marked only the second in-person conferring ceremony since the pandemic.
The doctors hit this milestone having all passed the College’s Membership MRCPI examinations, a truly immense achievement. MRCPI is an internationally recognised qualification and a standard of excellence.
The doctors achieved their MRCPI qualification across three specialties; General Medicine, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

What you do makes a difference to people’s lives every day. Not many professions can say that," RCPI President, Professor Mary Horgan said.
These new members were welcomed from 29 countries:

“Passing the Membership Examination is a very significant achievement and all the more so given that you have busy clinical jobs. It is a journey that is worth every step. Having the letters MRCPI after your name demonstrates that you have reached a standard of excellence that is trusted and recognised by employers around the world.”
